Inspired by the natural world, Gemma can often be found immersed capturing flowers, birds and wildlife in ink and watercolour. Often drawing things that are found in the garden. She enjoys practising mindful drawing techniques such as blind, continuous line, and non-dominant hand drawings.
Gemma fell back in love with drawing during the 2020 lockdown. She found small fragments of time to draw in her sketchbook. She joined a group called the still point sketchers and drew daily.
Gemma is a Mum of two girls and her husband is a Systems Engineer. They moved to the outskirts of Rugby in 2013 and before that she used to work at the Arts Council.
Gemma draws and paints whilst her children are at school. She exhibits work in galleries and sells framed originals in shops and coffee shops around Warwickshire. She is a very active member of Rugby Artists and Makers Network and you can often find her at Art at the Alex.
